Soap & Glory First Impressions Review

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today I'm reviewing the 3 new skin care products Soap & Glory have released which are the 'Big Clean' Duo which I'm sure you've all heard of or seen lately in Boots on introductory promo.

I bought them last month and they were in at an introductory price as £6 each and as I'm a lover of Soap & Glory's bath and body products I thought I'd give them a try. I've tested them out a fair few times, enough to tell you what I think and if I'd put them in my daily skin care routine.

First up is the Drama Clean 5-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water, so it claims 5 things which are cleanse, tone, melts make-up, dissolves dirt, smoothes and soothes, I personally think that is a lot to claim to but I love micellar cleansing waters and I know how good they can be. Now with my personal experience I thought it was rubbish removing my make-up, face make-up I think it removes perfectly but eye make-up it was crap at. I know usually you would have a micellar water for eye make-up remover that has oil in but my trusty L'oréal Paris Perfection Micellar Water melts my eye make-up perfectly. But this Soap & Glory one don't, it leaved blackness smudged all around my eyes (I didn't have waterproof mascara on, it was regulars) and it also stung them which once again my L'oréal one don't do (review for that here). The only thing I do like about this product is the scent, it's cucumber and that instantly makes me think it would be so nice to my skin but I don't think this product is.

Next is the Peaches And Clean Deep Cleansing Milk, this also claims that it's a 4-in-1 product so it's supposed to purify, clarify, dissolve make-up, energize and smooth. I didn't use this to remove my make-up because I used the micellar water for that, I used this as a face wash to make sure everything is off of my face. I do think this product is the most decent one out of the trio and I may test it out longer with my normal skin care routine to see how it does.

Lastly is the Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash, it claims to smooth, clean and purify. It has little beads in there to also act as a scrub to remove dead skin cells and dirt but I found they were to fine and didn't do anything, it also leaves my face feeling like a plastic wrapper which I didn't like. Once again it didn't do anything amazing to my skin or actually anything to it.

Overall with these new products I am highly disappointed and most definitely won't repurchase, and I'm also thinking of what I'm going to do with them as I know I won't use them. Anyway, I hope you liked this post, I know it's a negative one but maybe these products would be a different experience to you but I wouldn't recommend them.

40 Beauty Questions Tag

Skin Care
How many times do you wash your face daily?
I splash/wash my face with water in the morning when I wake and then again at night when I remove my make-up but actually wash it with face wash I usually do it once.. lazy bones alert!!

What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
My skin is very dry and sensitive which if you've been reading my blog for a while then you'd probably already know that.

What is your current facial wash?
The Simple Kind To Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash, I recently did a post on my skin care routine here if you'd be interesting in reading that.

Do you exfoliate?
Yes, every other day as every day I find is too harsh for my skin with it being sensitive.

What brand do you use?
Simple is the main brand I'm currently using.

What moisturizer do you use?
I use 2, the Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturizer and Nivea Creme.

Do you have freckles?
I used to when I was younger, I wish I still did because I think they're cute.

Do you use eye cream?
Yes only started to this year though, being 21 I best take good care of my skin from now.

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
No thankfully I have quite clear skin, I get 1 or 2 spots now and then so I feel quite blessed to have good skin.

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No it's never really interested me.

Make-Up
What foundation do you use?
L'oréal Lumi Magique Foundation, I recently posted my foundation here if you're interested.

How about concealer?
Maybelline Instant Eye Eraser.

Do you know your undertone color?
Nope I have no clue haha, I never really understood how to tell.

What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I try to get on with them but I end up pulling them off, I don't think they suit me either. Plus I'm lucky to have fairly long lashes so mascara is all I feel I need.

Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes I did, but I've always used them much longer.

What brand of mascara do you use?
I love Maybelline mascara's, especially the colossal. I feel I need to branch out because I literally repurchase the same one every time but I'm very fussy and once I find one I like I stick with it.

Sephora or MAC?
I've never been to a Sephora seeing as I'm from the UK so I haven't tried their make-up but I have MAC so I'm going with MAC.

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
Nope, I've only brought the Studio Sculpt Foundation and Rebel Lipstick so.

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Beauty blender for foundation, ring finger for concealer and brushes for eye shadows, powders etc.

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Nope, I'm getting around to trying some though.

For the face?
Yes I do, I think it makes a lovely difference.

What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
I'm a subtle, natural kind of girl so I go for browns and champagne colors such as Vanilla, Minky, Pink T, Aubersheen, Taupe Cat and Brownie from the Soap & Glory Perfect Ten Palette.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Pencil only on my upper eye tight line/rim and some times on my eyelid close to my lashes, I like to have a smudge look with pencil.

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
All most every time haha.

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I've not branched out on them yet.

Do you use mineral makeup?
No I think my skin would be too dry for that.

What is your favorite lipstick?
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade Asia.

How about lipgloss?
L'Oréal Glam Shine Lipgloss in Juicy Rose Glow.

What is your favorite blush to use?
I don't use blush because my cheeks are pink enough to be seen through my foundation.

Do you buy your makeup on eBay?
No I've brought brushed from there though.

Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes I love it, I don't see why some people think they're too good for drugstore make-up, they is plenty that is just as good as high-end.

Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
No I don't, I literally Googled this as I read this question and I need to do find one of them... discounted make-up, yes please!

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I did take some in college with my beauty therapy course but it was very basic.

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
I can be but that's why you should cotton buds by your side.

Name a makeup crime that you hate?
When the foundation shade doesn't match your neck or body.

Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I'm more neutral for the eyes and bright for the lips but I'm trying to experiment more.

Which celebrity always has great make up?
Demi Lovato, I love her looks.. she rocks all kinds of looks from dark, grungy, to bright and colorful to soft, neutral.

If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Mascara I pretty much only use that on a lot of days because I'm lazy.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes I always do.

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I don't look much different to when I wear my daily make-up.

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I'm a big fan of L'Oréal at the moment.

What do you think of Makeup??
I love it, it's amazing how you can make yourself look completely different.

Haven't done a tag too recently so I thought this would be a nice one and a change for you. I hope you liked it, and if you did feel free to do this for a post also, be sure to send me a link in the comments or on my social media if you do.

My Skin Care Routine

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today I have for you my skin care routine, I am no skin care expert or dermatologist but these are the products I use and find works for me.

L'Oréal Skin Perfection Micellar Water, I use this to remove my make-up. It works amazingly for even waterproof mascara without all the rubbing and pulling at my eyes. I just simply put some on a cotton pad and hold it over my eyes for a few seconds then wipe it gently away, it literally gets all my eye make-up off with that one wipe but I go over a second time this time wiggling it over my eyelashes, gently once again and that's it pretty much off. I did a more detailed review on this here.

Simple Kind To Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash, This is my daily facial wash, but I only use it in the mornings and maybe on occasion if I can be bothered I'd use this in the evening after I've removed my make-up but usually I think the Micellar Water cleans my face good enough.

St Ives Apricot Gentle Scrub For Sensitive Skin, I use this every other day to exfolliate any dead skin as my skin has always been dry and this gets rid of it very nicely and as my skin is on the sensitive side I think it is better to use this every other day in case everyday is too vigorous for my skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, I find this moisturizer does my skin nicely, it applies lovely on my skin and does a good job at keeping it hydrated. I use this every morning at night but some times I forget or can be too lazy.

Nivea Creme, This also is another moisturizer I use, this is more of a thicker and richer one that I tend to use at night to give it that bit extra as it can be too heavy and oily for using in the day.

Simple Regeneration Age Resisting Eye Cream, I've only recently used an eye cream but I find this lovely for under my eyes and helps with smoothness for when I apply under eye concealer.

That's all I use for my skin care, I hope you liked it and maybe I introduced you to new products or helped you out with any help you needed with certain products.

Coconut Oil Benefits & Uses

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today's post is about my Coconut oil, I think it's a must have for everyone! It has so many benefits and uses, it's a miracle oil. I've been using it for a while now mainly for my hair and skin, I love it. It literally will replace so many everyday products for you and for so much cheaper. I got this 400g jar from my local health store for only £7.99.

External Benefits

  • Contains anti-aging properties. Rich in anti-oxidants and natural microbial/antibacterial agents, caphrylic and capric.

  • Eases acid reflux.
  • Safe for diabetics, despite the sugary taste.
According to researchers the recommended daily amount of raw coconut oil for adults is 3 and 1/2 tablespoons.
Uses
Body & Face Moisturizer
Simply just use little chunks for each body part, even though the oil is a solid it will melt against your body heat when rubbing it in.

Hair Mask

You can either warm & melt the oil by rubbing it in your hands or putting it in the microwave for 10 - 30 seconds. Once melted then just slather it all over your scalp and hair then tie it up and leave it in for how long you desire. I like mine to sit on my hair for at least an hour. I did a hair mask post using coconut oil and another ingredient here. It's the perfect drink and pick me up for dehydrated and damaged hair.

Cooking With It
You can use coconut oil as a healthier substitute for butter when baking or cooking. It's commonly used as a substitute of olive oil because olive oil’s chemical structure, when heated up it can cause oxidative stress on the body, which can be an imbalance between the oxidant and antioxidant systems of the body, in favor of the oxidants. There's been research where the oxidative stress has been linked to the development of several diseases such as cardiovascular, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. Coconut oil doesn't contribute to oxidative stress, even when heated up! If you're looking for recipes that use coconut oil, the here is a great site.

I hope this post has helped you and that you like it. Coconut oil is literally the best and I will always use it.

Drugstore Haul

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today I have a Boots haul for you, this day I was specifically looking for skin care products to try and that is literally all I bought, I didn't go off track and look for make-up, hair products etc.

I needed a new moisturizer and I wanted to try out and eye cream seeing as the skin there is so delicate so I wanted to start taking care of my under eyes and eyelids. I have a few products from the brand Simple which I liked so I thought I'd purchase Simple products. I got the Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturizer and the Regeneration Age Resisting Eye Cream, and there was a deal on for 3 for price of 2 so I browsed the other Simple products and the Kind To Skin Pore Minimizing Toning Cleanser stuck out to me because I have big pores. I will let you know how I get on with a review of all 3 products once I've used them for at least a month.

Next I really wanted to get a mask and I have loads Montagne Jeunesse ones but I saw a coconut one and a honey one that sparked my interest so I got 2 coconut ones and a honey one as it was 3 for 2.

Lastly I'd seen a review on the Seven Seas Perfect7 Woman 30 caps and 30 tabs that help with skin, hair, nails, energy, brain, vision, heart and hormonal activity. I got these for my hair, skin and nails because I'm all for helping my hair grow healthier and stronger as well as my nails and having nice skin. Once I've been using these for a month or so I will write a review to let you know how I'm getting on with them.

I hoped you liked this post, it's been a while since I had a haul simply because I've switched jobs and other personal stuff so I haven't had much spare money to splurge but now I'm all sorted my shopping addiction can be fed. Keep your eyes out for my skin care products review and review of the Seven Seas Perfect7 which will be in a month or so.

Garnier 2-in-1 Express Eye Make-Up Remover - REVIEW

This product was in my Drugstore haul I posted a few weeks ago and I did say that I would be reviewing all those products on here for you all after I've had time to try them and I've had plenty of time using this product to review it for you all.

As I said on the haul, I had watch a video of glitteralittle on YouTube and she'd bought this product and loved it so I needed to give it a try.

This product is amazing for removing my eye make-up, I can't express how much I love it! On the bottle it says it removes eye make-up perfectly, even waterproof while leaving no greasy residue and I completely agree I put some product on my cotton pad and simply place it on my eye for a few seconds then softly wipe away which gets more than 50% of my eye make-up just like that and after I would just softly wipe over my eye again then go around until it's all removed which it's all wiped off very easily and quickly, even my waterproof mascara which is usually a night mare to get off. Also it says it protects eyelashes in 4 weeks, again I completely agree as my eyelashes are looking and feeling much more healthier and in better condition than before I used this product. It's a very gentle but effective eye make-up remover which doesn't sting my eyes which I am always very wary of when trying out new make-up removers.

If you try this product out partly on my review then be sure to let me know on the comments of this post or my social media accounts linked at the end of this post. Or if you already have tried this product out before I'd like to know what you think of it.

Hair, skin & body health drink - Lemon water

Lemon's are very good for you, they have many benefits for your body, skin, hair and overall health. They're rich in vitamin C and also contains vitamin B, calcium, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.

Body: Drinking lemon water everyday will help you lose weight as it speeds up your metabolism and gives you an immediate natural boost of energy, a tip is to drink lukewarm lemon water as soon as you wake up to get the full effects. It cleanses your stomach which helps get rid of indigestion, bloating, stomach pains and cramps. It detoxifies your liver and strengthens and boosts your immune system. It can also cure almost all respiratory diseases such as asthma. Also it helps your oral health by making your breath fresh. Lemon's are acidic but when inside our body it alkalizes.

Skin: Lemons are full of anti oxidants which helps restore the damaged skin cells in your body. Lemon water purifies your body by washing out the toxins from your blood which keeps your skin clear and glowing. It helps get rid of blemishes, wrinkles and fine lines, making it a great anti-ageing remedy. Drinking lemon water constantly can help cure acne, blackheads and skin infections.

Hair: Lemon water helps strengthen your hair by making your hair follicles and roots healthy and promotes new hair growth so as your hair grows it's condition will be overall healthy and strong. Lemon's are a natural stimulant and since lemons contain the essential vitamins and minerals that aids healthy hair growth such as vitamins C, B,  calcium, potassium, ect. Lemon water also helps to treat dry scalp and dandruff because of the anti oxidant that lemon's posses which is very beneficial for your scalp, and if you have oily hair it has the ability to reduce the secretion of sebaceous glands that is present in your scalp, which prevents the hair follicles from getting blocked or clogged.

I have only just started getting into drinking lemon water for about a week now after seeing many videos on YouTube about the benefits of drinking lemon water so I thought I'd write a blog post about it. And so far I'm liking it, I only am drinking one pint of lemon water a day which is when I wake up and I have it lukewarm as cold water will shock your body and it won't work as effectively and fast as lukewarm.

I hope you liked this blog post and it helped you in any way. If you do try lemon water out then leave me a comment on here or on my social media sites as I'd love to talk to you.

L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - REVIEW

Hey guys, so here's my first review and I hope I do this product justice as I love it very much.

On YouTube and the Blogger world last year water solution make-up removers were all the rage, well there was mainly one product that everyone was talking about and that was Bioderma but that wasn't all that easy to get your hands on but then other make-up brands started to release products just like it. Thank the God above!

After finally had enough of watching everyone go nuts over Bioderma I decided I was going to look in my local Drugstores for something similar as I read all about Bioderma just so I know the type I'm looking for and within searching the store I found L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution, the beauty of a products.

Let me tell you I will be using this not only to remove my make-up but in the mornings to refresh my skin forever, I have fell in love with it! It says on the bottle it dissolves make-up, unclogs pores and removes impurities and lastly tones and soothes skin. I can tell you all it does exactly all that, after a couple uses I noticed changes right away. My skin isn't all that bad with acne but I do get spots, mostly during the time of month for females and this product has certainly minimized the breakouts around that time, if I do get a spot it wouldn't last too long, just about a day or two and voila it would be gone with no hassle! Also my skin is now very smooth and hydrated, I tend to get very dry skin in the winter, it's horrible but I do notice this product making a difference to that. Before I first tried this product I was skeptical of using it on my eyes because I've tried many make-up removers and wipes that say they are sensitive around the eye area and don't sting them but many of them did sting my eyes especially the liquid forms so I stuck to wipes but this micellar water doesn't sting my eyes at all, it's very gentle and basically water. This product is a miracle in a bottle, I have already gone through 3 bottles of this stuff and I definitely recommend you all to try it out if you haven't as I also bought this for my brothers' girlfriend for Christmas which she also has fell in love with it and I'm also going to be getting it for my mum for her birthday in April.

In Superdrug it originally cost £4.99 but now for some reason costs £3.32, I don't know if this is limited time or a new price change, so hurry to get it for this price in case it is for a limited time. Also there is a deal on saving 1/3rd on selected L'Oréal skin products going on now!

If you try it out partly because of my review then be sure to let me know on the comments of this post or my social media linked at the end of this post how it goes.
