Shimmery Purple Eyeshadow Look

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. I have another eye shadow look for you, my 2nd one as I've been exploring and being more daring with trying more eye shadow looks that aren't just champagnes and browns.

This look I experimented with is my favorite color and also is a color that makes green eyes POP, which I have greens eye but for some reason in photos with flash or where there's a lot of light my eyes look blue, it's really bizarre but I can definitely confirm my eyes are green haha. I tend to wear this look on the weekends when I'm working, to make it more fun and makes it look like I've put more effort in on my appearance as during the week I can be lazy and just wear mascara and eyeliner on my water line.

I used 1 palette for this look which is the Revolution Ultimate Eye Shadow Collection, it has 144 shadows that are a mix of matte and shimmer, from nudes, bronzes and bright colors. I find this palette is great for the price, the color pay off is nicely pigmented for a palette this cheap in price.

First up I used a matte champagne color for a base color all over my eyelid, this helps the other colors blend easier and show up more. Then I used a brick red/brown shade for my transition color just above my crease, this helps with the main eye shadow color not being such a hard block color and makes all the eye shadow look more put together. For my crease color I used a dark brown, and then a black for the outer V of my eyes. Now onto the purple, I first used a matte bright purple mixed with a matte dark purple and put that all over my eye lids, and on top of that I dampened my eye shadow brush and got a shimmery purple and applied it on top of where I put the previous matte purples, this helps deepen the color and builds it up to look nicer. I find when using a shimmer color as the main color of my eye shadow look that dampening the brush makes it more pigmented. After I've done all that I like to grab a clean fluffy eye shadow brush a make sure all the harsh edges are blended. And lastly to finish the eye look I apply a shimmer champagne color for my inner corner to brighten that area and make me look more awake.

I hope you like this eye shadow look that I purely created because I wanted a nice purple shadow look and this is what I came up with after playing around. If you recreate this look on yourself then please do leave a comment below linking me to your picture or post, or contact me on my social medias with a picture. If you post on Instagram then maybe use the hashtag #lourauhlspurpleeye.

My Current YouTuber Loves

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today's post I'm sharing with you the Youtubers I've been loving watching lately, as I'm literally obsessed with YouTube.

Back in February I did a post about my all-time favorite YouTubers here, they still haven't changed but I have new YouTubers that I've been watching and loving lately which I wanted to share with you.

First up I have 3 people that I discovered through watching DaniMansutti as she said they're her latest YouTube faves that she's been obsessed with so I checked them out and they are LustreLux, DesiPerkins and Chrisspy. They do such beautiful and in depth make-up tutorials that help me out so much, they also have such great personalities and the 3 of them are very close friends which is nice to see.

The next one I've been subscribed to for a long long time but recently been more obsessed with and that's Shaaanxo. Her videos are such high quality and she also makes such beautiful make-up tutorials that I literally want to re create every one. She is also very informative with the products she uses and advice she gives.

Next up is KrissyGrotez, she's Australian so I'm literally obsessed with her accent! I think she is such an underatted and an un-discovered YouTube gem, her videos are just as amazing as the previous girls I just spoke about who have around a million subscribers. She does lovely tutorials, she's got a lovely personality that makes her good to watch. I think she deserves much more subscribers than the 24k+ she has, so check her out.

The last of my latest YouTuber loves is JackieWyers, her videos are amazingly beautiful and you can see she puts in so much effort for each and everyone. She does so many different make-up, hairstyles and videos that make her so fun as well as informative to watch.

That's all my current YouTuber loves, I hope you liked this post and maybe I introduced you to new YouTube channels to check out. Feel free to leave me comments below or talk to me on my social media links.

My Everyday Eye Shadow Look

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today's post is my everyday eye shadow look, it's fairly natural and bronzed, I love it.

The past couple of months I've been venturing out and doing more on my everyday make-up routine, before it would just be eyeliner, mascara and brows but now I'm doing eye shadow looks which my favorite is using browns and purples as these colors help green eyes pop which is what I have and purple is also my favorite color.

The palette I used for this look its my Soap & Glory The Perfect Ten, it has 10 shades and is my favorite palette, if you want to hear more about it I did a review here.

First up I apply Vanilla, a matte cream shade all over my lid as a base to help all the other colors show more. Then I apply my main lid color Pink T, a matte soft pink. In my crease I use Aubersheen, a soft brown shimmer and then to darken the crease a little more I use Black Gold, a matte charcoal color on my outer V so the outer corners on my eyes. Then I'd go over with a clean fluffy brush and blend the edges. That's my eye shadow over with, I then get a brown eyeliner which is the No7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil and draw a line as close to me lashes and then blend it out as this really makes my eyes pop. Usually if I can't be bothered with eye shadow I would just use this brown eye liner with mascara obviously and a black eye liner on my upper water line I love this effect as it makes my lashes to fuller, I feel bare when I don't do that.

Well that's my everyday eye shadow look that compliments my eye color, I hope you liked it and maybe you would try it out. I think a soft brown smokey eye is perfect for everyday use.

Soap & Glory First Impressions Review

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today I'm reviewing the 3 new skin care products Soap & Glory have released which are the 'Big Clean' Duo which I'm sure you've all heard of or seen lately in Boots on introductory promo.

I bought them last month and they were in at an introductory price as £6 each and as I'm a lover of Soap & Glory's bath and body products I thought I'd give them a try. I've tested them out a fair few times, enough to tell you what I think and if I'd put them in my daily skin care routine.

First up is the Drama Clean 5-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water, so it claims 5 things which are cleanse, tone, melts make-up, dissolves dirt, smoothes and soothes, I personally think that is a lot to claim to but I love micellar cleansing waters and I know how good they can be. Now with my personal experience I thought it was rubbish removing my make-up, face make-up I think it removes perfectly but eye make-up it was crap at. I know usually you would have a micellar water for eye make-up remover that has oil in but my trusty L'oréal Paris Perfection Micellar Water melts my eye make-up perfectly. But this Soap & Glory one don't, it leaved blackness smudged all around my eyes (I didn't have waterproof mascara on, it was regulars) and it also stung them which once again my L'oréal one don't do (review for that here). The only thing I do like about this product is the scent, it's cucumber and that instantly makes me think it would be so nice to my skin but I don't think this product is.

Next is the Peaches And Clean Deep Cleansing Milk, this also claims that it's a 4-in-1 product so it's supposed to purify, clarify, dissolve make-up, energize and smooth. I didn't use this to remove my make-up because I used the micellar water for that, I used this as a face wash to make sure everything is off of my face. I do think this product is the most decent one out of the trio and I may test it out longer with my normal skin care routine to see how it does.

Lastly is the Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash, it claims to smooth, clean and purify. It has little beads in there to also act as a scrub to remove dead skin cells and dirt but I found they were to fine and didn't do anything, it also leaves my face feeling like a plastic wrapper which I didn't like. Once again it didn't do anything amazing to my skin or actually anything to it.

Overall with these new products I am highly disappointed and most definitely won't repurchase, and I'm also thinking of what I'm going to do with them as I know I won't use them. Anyway, I hope you liked this post, I know it's a negative one but maybe these products would be a different experience to you but I wouldn't recommend them.

Yes I did, but I've always used them much longer.

All most every time haha.

I've not branched out on them yet.

What is your favorite lipstick?
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade Asia.

L'Oréal Glam Shine Lipgloss in Juicy Rose Glow.

I don't use blush because my cheeks are pink enough to be seen through my foundation.

Do you buy your makeup on eBay?

No I don't, I literally Googled this as I read this question and I need to do find one of them... discounted make-up, yes please!

I don't look much different to when I wear my daily make-up.

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I'm a big fan of L'Oréal at the moment.

My Skin Care Routine

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today I have for you my skin care routine, I am no skin care expert or dermatologist but these are the products I use and find works for me.

L'Oréal Skin Perfection Micellar Water, I use this to remove my make-up. It works amazingly for even waterproof mascara without all the rubbing and pulling at my eyes. I just simply put some on a cotton pad and hold it over my eyes for a few seconds then wipe it gently away, it literally gets all my eye make-up off with that one wipe but I go over a second time this time wiggling it over my eyelashes, gently once again and that's it pretty much off. I did a more detailed review on this here.

Simple Kind To Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash, This is my daily facial wash, but I only use it in the mornings and maybe on occasion if I can be bothered I'd use this in the evening after I've removed my make-up but usually I think the Micellar Water cleans my face good enough.

St Ives Apricot Gentle Scrub For Sensitive Skin, I use this every other day to exfolliate any dead skin as my skin has always been dry and this gets rid of it very nicely and as my skin is on the sensitive side I think it is better to use this every other day in case everyday is too vigorous for my skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, I find this moisturizer does my skin nicely, it applies lovely on my skin and does a good job at keeping it hydrated. I use this every morning at night but some times I forget or can be too lazy.

Nivea Creme, This also is another moisturizer I use, this is more of a thicker and richer one that I tend to use at night to give it that bit extra as it can be too heavy and oily for using in the day.

Simple Regeneration Age Resisting Eye Cream, I've only recently used an eye cream but I find this lovely for under my eyes and helps with smoothness for when I apply under eye concealer.

That's all I use for my skin care, I hope you liked it and maybe I introduced you to new products or helped you out with any help you needed with certain products.

Spa Afternoon in London!

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today's post I'm sharing with you my trip to a Spa in London called The Montcalm that I went to with my sister-in-law this passed Tuesday.

My trip to the spa wasn't for massages or treatments like that it was use of the spa leisure facility and one course lunch with a glass of prosecco for 2. It was the Pamper Day and Champagne Lunch For Two offer on Virgin Experience Days. It costs £98 normally but at the moment it's half price at £49. It's for 2 hours in the spa which you have to get undressed and dressed in this time too, towels and slippers are given to you upon arrival so all you need to bring are swimming wear, spare clothes and make-up. The changing rooms has lots lockers, showers, and even hair dryers to dry your hair with which was very handy.

The leisure room includes a steam room, sauna room, monsoon shower, jacuzzi, exercise pool and heated loungers, they're all in one room so it's a very relaxing and a warm atmosphere. As for our 1 course lunch we could choose from either a starter, main or a dessert and each course had 3 choices. The starters were: soup of the day which I didn't find out what it was. Grilled king prawns with baby gem, red onions, cornichons, peppers and salsa verde. Lastly sliced chorizo with crushed new potatoes, parsley and plum tomato ragout. The main courses were: Grilled corn fed chicken supreme with garlic mash, fine beans, roasted cherry tomatoes and wasabi mayonnaise. Pan seared smoked haddock with fondant potato, asparagus and spiced coconut sauce. Lastly pesto polenta with grilled courgette and aubergine in rich tomato sauce. And the desserts were: Caramelized Granny Smith apple and cinnamon crumble with vanilla ice cream. Sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and créme fráiche. And lastly fresh fruit platter. We were also told from the waitress if we wanted an extra course or have all 3 they were £7 for each extra course which I find for being in the heart of London and in a 5 star Hotel was a lovely price.

My sister-in-law and I both opted for main courses as it was 2.30pm when we'd sat down for lunch so we were pretty hungry. I had the haddock dish and it was delicious, the haddock crumbled or flaked beautifully as it's supposed to, the potato was just like a roasted potato which was nice as I hate potatoes except from roast potatoes and chips obviously but even then I'm very fussy with how they're cooked (potato is like a phobia of mine) I really went on a whim ordering a dish with potato on but I was pleasantly surprised, I'd never had asparagus and I've been waiting to try them which I thought they were nice and lastly the coconut sauce was the best part, it tasted like chicken korma curry which is the dish I order when I eat at an Indian so that instantly gave the meal a high rating, so overall it was a very yummy dish and I would recommend it.

As for the service from the staff, they were lovely and welcoming. Showed us around and were polite and friendly. The hotel looked absolutely lovely, I felt like it was too nice and posh for me though as I'm used to being at lower quality and less star hotels and restaurants haha.

PS. Sorry for the low quality pictures I took them on my iPhone, not my camera.

I hope you liked this post as it was a very enjoyable experience and a nice change to do something like this with my bestie/sister-in-law. Also afterwards we went shopping on Oxford Street as it's literally around the corner but it was so busy and windy, like it gave me literal anxiety and I didn't find shopping on the oh-so famous Oxford Street that fabulous, I'm fine with the shopping streets and outlits where I live.. much more less hectic and plus it has all the shops that I have near me.

April Favorites | Beauty

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today I have for you is my monthly favorites

My first 3 favorties comes hand-in-hand, they're my base make up which I did my foundation routine including all 3 in here. The L'Oréal Lumi Magique Foundation has to be my all time favorite foundation I've ever used, it's looks and feels so good on my skin and love wearing it, I did  review of it here. Next is the Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer that I use for my under eyes, it brightens them up so nicely and that's also where the Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit comes in, I use the banana/yellow shade to set my under eye concealer and that brightens it up even more, I'm literally obsessed. I did a post of my base/foundation routine here if you wanted to check it out!

The next few also come hand-in-hand, eye products! I hated the L'Oréal Miss Manga Mega Volume Black Angel Mascara when I first bought it because the wand always put loads of product on my lashes which is a pet hate for me as I like mascara that separates my lashes but lately I've been loving this as it thickens my lashes up, I've been into thick lashes lately. The next 2 are eye shadows, first is a palette and that it the Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette In Nude, these eye shadows are lovely everyday mutual colors that are nicely pigmented and are nice for an everyday look. The other eye shadow is the Natural Collection Eye shadow in Crushed Walnut, I have multiple uses for this eye shadow, I use it on my eyebrows everyday, it's a great crease color and a good shade/shadow color for contouring.

My last favorite is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade Asia, this shade is perfect for everyday use and I love it. It's a lovely dark nude that's a your lips but better and I can't stop wearing it.

Well that's all my favorites from the month of April, I hope you liked it and maybe it introduced you to a new product or maybe you've been debating whether to buy one of these products and I helped you out with your decision.
