Brown Glam Eyeshadow Look

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world.

Today I have an eyeshadow look, it's a brown, shimmer, glam night look. I wore this look Saturday 29th, as I went to my local pub for a Halloween Party. I wasn't dressing up for Halloween, I wanted to look glam not scary so I thought this look would be perfect.

I used one eyeshadow palette for this look and that is the I Heart Chocolate Palette from the brand I Heart Make-Up which is a sister brand of Make-Up Revolution. This palette is basically a dupe of the Two Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, and a good one at that, it even has a slight scent of chocolate.

First off I started with my base that will prime to make the eyeshadow give its best colour pay off, last longer and apply smooth for the base I used Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and then Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder to set.

I always start with a transition shade that I apply just above my crease and in my crease, the shade I used for that is Thank Friday, I find it the perfect for the transition shade, then in my crease just below the first shade I applied the shade pleasure girl. I then applied my lid shade which is You Need More, to make this shade more intense on my lid I sprayed some setting spray on my eyeshadow brush then picked up the colour on the brush. To deepen crease, inner corner and outer V of my eye I used the shade Stolen Chocolate on a small pencil brush. Then I got the shade Pleasure girl again and applied it in my crease, which helps to blend all the shades together and then I get the first shade Thank friday and go over the part where I first applied this shade to make sure the eyeshadow transitions from light to dark outside, in. Then for my brow bone I used You Need Love which is a matte cream shadow, and this highlights that area. For my bottom lash line I used Thank Friday first, then Pleasure Girl over top with You Need More focused in the very middle.

I then did winged eyeliner with the Revlon Colour Stay Liquid Eye Pen and applied my mascara the Maybelline Lash Sensational. I was running low on my mascara so my lashes weren't as black and coated as I'd like them to be, and as I went heavy with the shadows I needed my lashes to be big so I use false ones which was the Ardell Wispies. My lipstick I used was the Sleep Matte Me Lip Cream in the shade Velvet Slipper, I'm obsessed with this colour!

I hope you like this eyeshadow look, its a very easy but pretty glam look and I love it. Did you dress up for Halloween? If you did what did you dress up as?

The 'Just One' Beauty Tag

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today I have a tag for you, I came across this tag on Reddit  and thought it was a good one to do. Basically you have to pick 1 beauty/make-up item of each topic such as lipstick etc.

The categories are:
1. Lipstick - Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Asia, it's a natural everyday shade.
2. Lipgloss - I'm not a lover of Lipgloss.
3. Blush/Bronzer - Benefit Hoola, do I need to elaborate on this beauty cult?!
4. Eyeshadow Single - Natural Collection in Crushed Walnut. I bought use this specifically for my eyebrows and I'm obsessed with it!
5. Eyeshadow Palette - Make-Up Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Mattes 2, I only recently got this but I'm in love.. it has the perfect everyday colors.
6. Mascara - Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Mascara, this has been a long time love of mine but I really need to branch out and try others so if you have any recommendations let me know in the comments.
7. Foundation - L'Oréal Lumi Magique Foundation. It's such a lovely foundation, I have a review of it here.
8. Facial Cleanser/MU Remover - L'Oréal Skin Perfection Micellar Water, I love this stuff! I have a review of it here if you want to check it out.
9. Powder - Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit, the yellow highlight/conceal powder. This powder does wonders for brightening my under eyes on top of concealer.
10. Nail Polish - I haven't got a specific color but the Barry M Nail Paints are amazing in price and formula, it has so many!!

Bonus: Any three items you feel you couldn't live without or would buy over and over again. (concealer, highlighter, eyeliner, brows etc)
Concealer - Maybelline The Eye Eraser, such a lovely creamy and moisturizing formula.
Primer - Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro, this makes for a nice smooth base.

I hope you liked this post, when I saw this tag I thought it would be quite interesting to do as some people can literally only afford limited products so picking just on product of each category would seem to be interesting. Please feel free to copy the questions and do the tag yourself in a post or you could answer them in the comments below.

Soft Brown Eye Shadow Look

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. I have another eye shadow look/tutorial for you all, this one is a soft brown smokey eye, but it's reversed.. so the darker color is on the lid and that it gets lighter, I have no idea what that would be called so I'm calling it a reversed smokey eye.

First off I started with priming my eyelids with Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Primer, then I went over with Collection 2000 Lasting Finish concealer as a base for my eye lid, this helps for a blank canvas for the shadows and helps them to be more vibrant. I set the concealer with the lightest shade of the Make Up Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Mattes 2 that I use for this eye look. Now I start with the actual look, I use a light brown for my crease that will be the transition/blend shade. Now for the all over lid color, I use 2 for all over the lid because the 1st shade which is a chocolate brown ended up not being as dark as I wanted so I got the darkest brown in the palette and put it over top of the chocolate brown and I was happy with the result. Next I got a clean fluffy brush and blended the crease shade and made sure there were no sharp edges. I then did my highlight with the 1st shade I used for my brow bone and inner corner of my eye. I next got the darkest brown again and applied it as close to my bottom lash line as I could so my eye didn't look top heavy with my lid all brown and nothing on my bottom lash. I then applied a brown eye liner which is the No7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eye Pencil to my bottom lash inner rim and lastly applied mascara of course.

I hope you liked this very simple everyday but pretty eye shadow look, please know I'm not a professional make-up artist, I'm just a make-up loving junkie experimenting and trying different shadow looks for fun. If you try this look then please let me know how you get on or your thoughts on this look in the comments below or on my social media, links below.

Shimmery Purple Eyeshadow Look

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. I have another eye shadow look for you, my 2nd one as I've been exploring and being more daring with trying more eye shadow looks that aren't just champagnes and browns.

This look I experimented with is my favorite color and also is a color that makes green eyes POP, which I have greens eye but for some reason in photos with flash or where there's a lot of light my eyes look blue, it's really bizarre but I can definitely confirm my eyes are green haha. I tend to wear this look on the weekends when I'm working, to make it more fun and makes it look like I've put more effort in on my appearance as during the week I can be lazy and just wear mascara and eyeliner on my water line.

I used 1 palette for this look which is the Revolution Ultimate Eye Shadow Collection, it has 144 shadows that are a mix of matte and shimmer, from nudes, bronzes and bright colors. I find this palette is great for the price, the color pay off is nicely pigmented for a palette this cheap in price.

First up I used a matte champagne color for a base color all over my eyelid, this helps the other colors blend easier and show up more. Then I used a brick red/brown shade for my transition color just above my crease, this helps with the main eye shadow color not being such a hard block color and makes all the eye shadow look more put together. For my crease color I used a dark brown, and then a black for the outer V of my eyes. Now onto the purple, I first used a matte bright purple mixed with a matte dark purple and put that all over my eye lids, and on top of that I dampened my eye shadow brush and got a shimmery purple and applied it on top of where I put the previous matte purples, this helps deepen the color and builds it up to look nicer. I find when using a shimmer color as the main color of my eye shadow look that dampening the brush makes it more pigmented. After I've done all that I like to grab a clean fluffy eye shadow brush a make sure all the harsh edges are blended. And lastly to finish the eye look I apply a shimmer champagne color for my inner corner to brighten that area and make me look more awake.

I hope you like this eye shadow look that I purely created because I wanted a nice purple shadow look and this is what I came up with after playing around. If you recreate this look on yourself then please do leave a comment below linking me to your picture or post, or contact me on my social medias with a picture. Christmas 2014

Hey my lovelies, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas with your loved ones and got what you wanted. I know I'm very late on this bandwagon, but hey better late than never right?! Personally I love posts and videos of what people got for Christmas and what they did for the day, I don't know why I just do. As do many people so I thought I'd do one, my first one on this blog yay.

This year I was determined to make this a better Christmas than 2013 as my parents were going through a messy break up and it just wasn't a relaxing or enjoyable time last year, it was awkward and depressing. Also on Christmas Day 2010 around 9-10am (I think) my granddad (dad's dad) passed away and I was ever so close with him it broke my family and I's hearts to pieces so Christmas is always a sad time for us regardless of what else we have going on.

I am very happy to say this Christmas was the best one in years I was at my parents house (yes they are back together in case you didn't read my best of 2014 post) with my boyfriend, my little sister and brother, my older brother, his girlfriend, my niece and my nan whom is the wife of my passing granddad. All we did was exchange gifts, unwrap gifts, eat, talk, laugh and have a lovely day. Then at 5pm my brother, his girlfriend and my niece took my nan home and then they went to my brother's girlfriend's sisters house. My mum ended falling asleep, then my dad and boyfriend decided to get drunk so I was left to put my little sister and brother up to bed. And then I ended up tidying and washing up from dinner which was A LOT of stuff to wash.

I also got spoilt from everyone, I was surprised at how much I got. So I'm going to get the stuff not needed to have pictures of out of the way. I got tons and tons of pair of socks, like literally enough to last me a whole month without needing to use old pairs or ones that have been washed. 4 sets of pajamas's, 3 pairs of slippers, fluffy dressing gown, leggings, Simple make-up wipes and some money. You can never have enough of those I just mentioned to be honest. I also got a plastic pot/bin of beauty stuff; such as small and big pads for make-up removal, Simple make-up wipes, stick on nail designs, Montague Jeunesse face masks, small cherry Yankee Candle, Tube of mini parma violet sweets (my fave) Also as on the cover image I got a Vaseline pot with 3 Vaseline lip balms in original, cocoa butter and aloe vera.

Below are pictures of the exciting stuff I got and at the very bottom there's a caption of what they all are.

(Soap and Glory The Perfect Ten Palette, Make-Up Revolution London Palette, Mac Rebel Lipstick, NO7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Liner Pencil, Zoella Eyes Make-Up Bag, Maybelline The Colossal Mascara, Mac Studio Sculpt Foundations, Benefit They're Real Mascara, The Porefessional, Hoola Bronzer, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Fragrance, Justin Bieber The Key Fragrance, Britney Spears Original and Limited Addition Fragrances. Merry Christmas Special Auntie Key Ring, Lauren Pen, Personalised Auntie Card Picture Frame, Pink and Silver Auntie Bracelet, Jon Richard Bracelet, White iPad Mini 1, Original Converse.)

I hope you liked this post and don't think I'm bragging because I'm not I love these posts and seeing what other people got or did Christmas Day. If you want a review on any of the stuff I got then leave a comment below or let me know on my social media. Thank you.
