My Autumn and Winter Lipsticks

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world.

As I've mentioned many, many times Autumn and Winter are my favourite season for so many reasons and one is the lip colour trends are more berry, burgundy and darker toned colours and they're my favourite shades of lipsticks. So I thought I'd share my favourites for the Autumn and Winter seasons.

I have done a whole blog post reviewing these very recently here if you were looking and interested a full review. The shades that I'm loving are currently Beeper is warm mid-toned taupe, Trap is a dusty grey beige, Lumiére 2 is a dusty mauve pink/purple and Tulle is a dusty mauve burgundy. These shades are very popular within the beauty community and no doubt you've probably heard of them. They're very affordable prices but are sold online not in-store. They're very pigmented, easy to apply and long lasting.

NYX Lip Lingérie
I've also done a full review on this product here. I've only tried 3 shades in this range and am obsessed with them. The colour that is my favourite and is more suited for Autumn and Winter wear is the shade 02 Embellishment, this is a dusty muted purple grey toned shade. It's a very unique shade, you definitely won't come across too many colours like this. I'm obsessed.

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream
Oh yes, another lip product that's a matte liquid lipstick! I'm sorry but they're just so in trend right now, everyone and their mother are wearing matte liquid lipsticks basically because of Kylie Jenner. She's the Queen of make-up right now as her cosmetic line is killing the game. Anyway back to Sleek Matte Me, the shade I'm loving is Velvet Slipper it's a deep dusty mauve pink. Once again this shade is quite unique, I found it heart to describe this beautiful shade.

MAC Satin Lipstick
I've finished with liquid lipsticks, now the remaining 2 are regular lipsticks. A Satin Mac Lipstick in the shade Rebel, it's a mid-toned plum and this was my first Mac lipstick and Mac product I'd bought. I literally bought it in the winter time, December 2014 to be exact haha. This is a beautiful colour, you can apply it and it not be that opaque and strong if you're not that brave or you can really build it up which is what I like to do. It feels very moisturising and creamy, so when I don't feel like wearing a liquid lipstick that drys my lips out I turn to this one.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
These lipsticks have 2 finishes which are matte and créme. The shade I have is Va Va Violet and it's a créme finish, it's a deep toned true purple and purple is my favourite ever colour and I love this shade when I want to be super vampy/grunge. Like the Mac lipstick, this can be applied lightly or build it to be very opaque and dark. I also think it looks better with lip liner underneath which brings me to my last lip products.

Barry M Lip Liner
I love this lip liner, it's stiff to apply but the colour applies nicely. I prefer my lip liner to be more stiff, I also find the liner lasts longer when it's stiff whether the creamy liners get used so much quicker. I'm not quite sure on the shade of this it's either wine or plum, it's not on the pencil and I've had it for a fair while so I've forgot but it's basically a deep purple. If I have a dark, mauve, purple lip then I've 90% of the time got this underneath the lipstick. I even wear this on its own sometimes.

I hope you enjoyed this post. And maybe I've introduced you into shades you haven't come across or don't have or even a product. What are your favourite lip shades/products for Autumn and Winter time? Be sure to leave comments below or speak to me on my social media, links below. Thank you. MWAH!

Salon International 2016 Haul

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world.

Today's post I have for you is a haul of the goodies I got from Salon International 2016, that I went to with my sister-in-law on Sunday 16th October. And we also went to the Westfields Shopping Mall in Stratford for a look around after and I bought a few bits so I thought they can be added in.

My sister-in-law and I have been waiting for Salon International for most of the year, getting to see new releases from brands and products are sold at a cheaper price for the event which a got a couple of good deals of things I've wanted forever!

First up I'm starting with the few freebies I got handed to me as I walked around the exhibit. I got 2 products from Schwarzkopf's Fibreplex range, which I believe the 4 part range is designed to help strengthen and ready the hair before, during and after lightening, high-lifting and the colouring process. I got a 200ml bottle of the shampoo, it's meant to keep strengthening the hair and maintain the colour. The other item I got was a 100ml bottle of the no3 Bond Maintainer, this is a mask/deep conditioner, to be used twice a week from root to ends for a minimum of 5 minutes after shampooing your hair and then rinse. It's meant to maintain your improved quality of hair from using the other 3 products from this range, balance PH levels and protecting any new mechanical damage from hair colouring while locking in colour pigments. They both sound impressive, once I get around to using them and trying them out for a good amount of time, maybe I'd do a review post on them.

The third freebie I got was a 75ml tube of Phyto Elixir, it's meant for dry hair to gently cleanse and nourish hair and scalp. It's said to make your hair more shinier, subtle, softer and easier to untangle and it's says to skip conditioning completely. I have two more freebies left both by the brand Osmo, which I've never heard of before but they seemed very popular. First was a 25ml pot of Clay Wax, which I gave to my boyfriend. And lastly was a 100ml pot of Osmo Colour Radiance Mask, this is an intense nourishing sulphate free mask that smooths hair and reduces colour fade. I also got a ton, a ton of leaflets from brands and catalogs.

Now onto the products I bought, I'm going to start with a brush, the Tangle Tamer Ultra Brush from the brand Denman in black, priced at £12.50 but at Salon International it was £7, a nice bargain! I was long overdue a new brush, I previously had a many Tangle Teasers which I loved while they lasted but I hated the design of the brush, so I was looking for a paddle type brush that's was designed for very unmanageable hair which mine is, as its long and so far I'm loving it, glides right through my knotty hair,

The next 4 products are from the brand Osmo, which I previously mention a couple from a freebie pack and that I've never heard of them before. But as their stand was swamped with customers, I was drawn in and decided to try them out. I got 1000ml bottles of the Extreme Volume Shampoo and Conditioner I got them both for £10 together, once again bargain!!! The third product I got from Osmo was a 250ml tube of the Deep Repair Moisture Mask I got for £2 and the last out of the 4 is what I'm most excited for and that is a 250ml bottle of Effects Wonder 10 Leave-In Treatment priced £4. This is supposed to be a dupe of the It's A 10 Leave-In Treatment, and I've seen everyone and their mother rave about that product so I was super excited and had to get this to try, plus I was really in need of a leave-in treatment as my Aussie one is a couple sprays to empty.

The last 2 products I got from Salon International were also both from the same brand and that is Moroccan Oil. I got a 100ml bottle of the oil treatment, I bought it for £18, bargain!!! I've wanted to get my hands on this oil since forever, again everyone and their mother loves this stuff and I'm so excited to finally have it. The last product is a 50ml bottle of the Blow-Dry Concentrate, this is a new release from the brand and at the exhibit it was being sold for £10. This is meant to seal in shine and tames the most rebellious, unruly hair for a smooth, frizz-free look. It's infused with conditioning argan oil to increase softness and silkiness for easier brush glide and a speedier blow-out. Natural antioxidants work to help protect hair while enhancing texture and quality to leave it soft and lustrous.

All together these products cost me only £51 but if I were to have bought them all at regular retail price including the freebies they would have cost me so so much more!

As I said at the beginning of this post I went to Westfields Shopping Mall after Salon International, so I'm going to add the 3 items I bought in Superdrug onto this post. 2 of the 3 products were Sleek Matte Me Lip Creams priced at £4.99, in the shade Birthday Suit and Velvet Slipper. I had Birthday Suit before but I lost it on a night out which I was gutted about as I enjoyed that shade and the product which is a liquid lipstick. The last product was the Freedom Pro Highlight Palette priced at £6, I'm loving this brand and my highlight collection needed a palette as I was lacking in the highlight departments and I love it so far!

Phew I got to the end eventually, that was a fair amount of products to get through. If you want to see me do a review post on any of the items I bought then please leave me a comment below or contact me on my social media, all linked below. Thank you for reading. MWAH.

Beauty Haul

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. I have a little haul for you today with a few bits I needed and a few I didn't but I thought I'd deserved to treat myself.

As I've recently had my hair dyed a colorful vibrant color and as my shampoo and conditioner was running out I thought I needed to buy new ones, this time I went for L'Oréal Paris Hair Expertise EverPure Color Care & Moisture Shampoo And Conditioner to try out, see how long and if it pro-longs the color in my hair. Next is the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Miraculous Recovery Intensive Masque, I'm always on the look out for trying masques out so I picked this up. The last couple of hair products I bought are hair oils, Superdrug own brand Hair Therapy Oil With Coconut and a Macadamia one, once again I love trying out different hair oils so I thought I'd give these a try.

The last 2 products of my haul are eye shadow palettes, I've been obsessed with shadows and palettes lately so I need to build my collection. Since this palette come out I've been humming and arring over whether to get it or not but I caved and that is the L'Oréal Paris Color Riche La Palette Nude Rose, I love L'oréal products so I'm excited for this so stay tuned for a review and tutorials I'm sure. The next palette is the Sleek iDivine Ultra Mattes V2 Darks Palette, I just wanted a matte palette that wasn't just basic neutral colors so when I saw this I thought it was perfect. It has a flesh color and a brown to make a basic neutral smokey eye but it also has pops of color that I can't wait to use. So again look out for a review and tutorials with this palette.

I hope you liked this mini haul, usually I have more products in my hauls but my money has been spent on my nieces/God Daughters Christening gifts, an outfit for that occasion and bills so not had much to spare for beauty products, sad face. Also I'm trying out a new technique for my blog pictures, let me know what you think of them.

My Foundation Routine

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and are having a good day wherever you are in the world. Today's post I have for you is my foundation routine where I show you all the products I use, how I apply, how well they work and the coverage it gives me.

Firstly, is the most important for me and for everyone one I think and that is moisturize! My skin is very sensitive and dry so literally the worst skin type that can be very hard to work with especially when it comes to wearing foundation. I usually use the Simple Replenishing Moisturizer but some times I use Nivea Creme, it's a family favorite which I spoke about in this post.

Next up is primer, this makes you foundation and other face products to last longer, helps to smooth over your face and make it a nice canvas ready for your foundation, I use the Rimmel Fix And Perfect Pro Primer which I find really does help make my foundation set nicely on the skin, I also like to use the Benefit Porefessional Primer on my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead so basically my T-zone as my pores aren't very small and this helps to blur them.

Now it's time to apply my foundation which currently I am using the L'Oréal Lumi Magique Foundation, this foundation is a dream for me I love it so much and definitely is one of my favorites out of every foundation I've tried. If you want to find out more about it and what I think then I have a review on it here. I apply this foundation with my damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge aka the very popular Beauty Blender. I much prefer using this than a brush because as the sponge is dampened it helps set the foundation into the skin to make it look more skin like and it helps with covering my dry patches so they don't look obvious. Some times I do like to use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush if I can't be bothered with wetting the sponge or am travelling.

After foundation it's concealer time and once again I use 2 which are the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in fair and Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer in light. I use the Collection one for my blemishes and the Maybelline one under my eyes as it's made specifically to conceal under eye darkness so it's going to be hydrating and won't crease. I usually like to apply these with my ring finger as it's the most softest touch finger and the warmness of your finger helps to blend them much better into the skin. To set the concealer under my eyes I like to use a banana/yellow colored powder as it does amazingly at adding more brightness, I've literally become obsessed with using it I think it does wonders. I have a couple palettes with this type of powder in which are the Sleek Corrector and Conceal Palette, Barry M Contour Kit and Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit, they're all very similar in shades, all yellow toned powder so all three do the trick!

Last step for me is not always necessary for me and that's to powder the remainder of my face I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Translucent and the brush I use is the Real Techniques Blush Brush, as I have dry skin some times I don't need to use powder but I do like to powder after I've contoured and applied blush on my face as it blends and softens it. But my contour routine is a whole other post that I will do, so keep a look out for that in the future.
